RCC has an extensive line of products for the popular Mustang II suspension system plus brake systems for the front and rear of your specialty car. We also have disk brake systems for many popular Ford axles. All products were designed and developed by RCC with extensive testing for proper fit and function. We were the first to design and market a coilover system that would "bolt-in" to the stock suspension components without modification of the control arms or upper spring mounting perch. We have developed all of our systems to perform their function as economically as possible Note: Our coilover systems are shipped assembled and include all items required for installation, adjustment, and use (fasteners & spanner wrench required for adjustment). Front Coilovers

We distribute several different premium coilover products in an effort to have the right product for our customers needs, at the least cost. Our front coilovers will "bolt-in" to the stock Mustang II control arms with no modification, except to enlarge the shock mounting hole to ½" as the stock 7/16" hole is not adequate to carry the load of both the shock and spring. Coilovers will provide you with adjustable ride height, the correct spring rate for the weight of your car, and enable you to secure the ride and handling designed for your specialty car.

Tubular Control Arms

RCC Tubular Control Arms use 1"x 0.120 wall DOM Mild Steel tubing with urethane bushings and screw in ball joints. Our economy lower tubular control arm uses a single mandrel bent tube (1.5"x 0.120 wall).

The urethane bushings will eliminate the rubber bushing distortion with its accompanying alignment changes for a more precise handling and ride. Our economy lower tubular control arm mounts the coilover at the same position as the stock arm, but our regular and patented strutless adjustable lower control arms mount the coilover 7/8" below the stock position for additional suspension travel. This 7/8" of additional travel at the coilover with provide over 1" in additional travel at the wheel. All parts are MIG welded with natural finish. For a truly unique product see our patented Strutless Adjustable Lower Control Arm. This product has wide triangulation with adjustment provisions for additional caster adjustment. Welding is required for installation of Strutless Adjustable Lower Control Arm. Optional TIG welding is available along with our tough and durable spray epoxy finish in black gloss color.

Miscellaneous other suspension parts

RCC has developed several unique suspension items for the Mustang II suspension system. We have an Adjustable Strut Rod to provide additional caster adjustment while eliminating the large rubber bushings of the stock strut rod. We also have our Alignment Saver which prevents the upper control arms cross shaft mounting bolts from slipping and throwing off the alignment settings of your car. The Alignment Saver has machined blocks that fill the adjusting slots in the spring tower to which stainless steel angle pieces bolt. You then rotate the upper control arm cross shaft ¼ turn and shim the alignment setting GM style. This eliminates the tendency of the Ford upper control arm cross shaft to slide at the mounting points, a problem which is compounded by our tendency to paint all parts of our specialty cars to provide a bright and shiny (slick) surface. A companion piece to the Alignment Saver is our Spring Tower Brace which creates an adjustable spreader type brace between the spring towers to prevent movement in competition driving. This will only work in cars where the front of the engine is back of the center of the crossmember. For those cars where mounting a sway bar to the frame horns is not possible, RCC has a Sway Bar which mounts only to the lower control arms. With the 7/8" diameter, the sway bar is 85% as effective as the stock sway bar.

  Mustang II and other Ford brake systems  
 

 

RCC has two brake upgrades for the Mustang II suspension system. Both use 11 inch vented rotors with either Ford or GM bolt patterns while the Standard Brake System uses the intermediate GM calipers and the Deluxe Brake System uses the large GM caliper for 20% more braking power. RCC also has rear disk brake systems for the 8", 8.8" & 9" Ford rear axles. This rear brake system uses 11" vented rotors and parking brake style GM caliper. All mounting brackets and fasteners are included in all brake systems. Front brake systems include wheel bearings and seals.
